West Paces Ferry is a highly desirable neighborhood located on a bustling corridor in the heart of Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead district. Known for its prestigious schools, homes here are within easy reach of around a dozen outstanding public and private schools. West Paces Ferry has a vibrant commercial area centered on the intersection of West Paces Ferry Road and Northside Parkway. The neighborhood is also in close proximity to many more shopping, dining, and entertainment options in other areas of Buckhead. 

Until the 20th century, West Paces Ferry consisted of sprawling European-style estates often spanning over 100 acres each. Over the decades, these estates have been subdivided into lots with homes representing a wide variety of architectural styles and time periods. The neighborhood’s real estate mix includes posh homes with beautiful landscaping and expertly- maintained gardens.

West Paces Ferry is close to some of Buckhead’s finest dining and shopping. The St. Regis Hotel is a luxurious five-star hotel with several elegant dining spaces on West Paces Ferry Road. Enjoy cocktails and small plates at The St. Regis Bar or fine dining in the lush surroundings of The Garden Room. The St. Regis Hotel’s Atlas restaurant is a first-class culinary destination serving artfully-arranged plates of seasonal American cuisine. Other premier restaurants in the area include sophisticated Japanese sushi bar Umi, which has a spectacular omakase tasting course lasting several hours. 

Buckhead Village District is a contemporary mixed-use development featuring international dining spots, lively bars and pubs, and dozens of fashion boutiques and designer label stores such as Alice + Olivia, Hermes, Jimmy Choo, and Tom Ford. 

Paces Ferry Plaza offers additional upscale dining choices with Southern-style cooking and curated wines at Blue Ridge Grill and steaks, burgers, and other classic American dishes at Houston’s. A scenic spot on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, Canoe is a highly-praised restaurant serving delicious farm-to-table cuisine in a romantic environment. West Paces Ferry is also home to the delightfully old-school West Paces Ferry Shopping Center. Most of the businesses here have been part of the community since the 1950s. 

OK Café is a classic diner with a Southern-style menu of comfort food favorites such as meatloaf and milkshakes. You can also stop by Tommy’s Barbershop for a trim or pick up essentials at Wender & Roberts Pharmacy.

Things to Do

Buckhead Fine Arts Festival takes place over two days each September. This festival brings around 100 talented artists working in a variety of mediums to the Buckhead Village District. Buckhead Fine Arts Festival also features live acoustic performances and a great selection of food and drinks vendors.
