Welcome to Ansley Park

Central community with park-like landscape and upscale homes

Ansley Park is a central Atlanta neighborhood nestled between Midtown and Piedmont Park. The neighborhood’s wide winding streets feature upscale homes from notable architects spanning many periods. Development began in the 1900s as one of the first Atlanta neighborhoods designed for automobiles rather than streetcars. Instead of the grid-like layout seen in older neighborhoods, Ansley Park’s streets are landscaped parkways. Green space abounds with Ansley Golf Club and several parks and playgrounds scattered throughout the neighborhood. Ansley Park is a recognized historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. Its exquisite real estate mix includes Colonial, Federal, Italian Renaissance, and Tudor-style homes. There are also newer properties featuring stunning cutting-edge architectural design.

The Ansley Park neighborhood is close to many more restaurants and retailers in Midtown’s Atlantic Station shopping center and in the hip Virginia-Highland neighborhood.

Things to Do

Atlanta Botanical Garden is located along Ansley Park’s southeast boundary on the northern end of Piedmont Park. Highlights of these beautifully-landscaped 30-acre gardens include a Canopy Walk suspended 40 feet in the air overlooking the treetops of Storza Woods. The botanical garden contains numerous indoor and outdoor themed gardens, including formal rose and Japanese gardens as well as recreations of habitats such as deserts and tropical rainforests with turtles, birds, and poison dart frogs. Between May and September, Cocktails in the Garden invites visitors to relax with drinks in the evening calm of the botanical garden.

Ansley Golf Club extends to the neighborhood’s north. The golf club’s challenging nine-hole course has been ranked among the top five in the nation by Sports Illustrated. Other amenities available to Ansley Golf Club members include tennis courts with teams and tournaments, a heated outdoor competition pool with a diving well, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
